In light of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak across the globe, The Sukhothai Shanghai continues to remain vigilant and has implemented stringent precautionary measures to provide a clean environment to safeguard the wellbeing of our guests and employees.
We uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness with frequent disinfection of all high-contact areas. Other precautionary measures include temperature checks for our guests and employees when entering the hotel, employees are required to wear masks and hand gloves in our cleaning protocols or when handling well-cooked food and beverage, sterilisation of tables and chairs after used at our dining facilities, thorough cleaning and sanitisation of the guest rooms and suites prior and after each guest’s stay and many more.
Our employees are constantly reminded to maintain good personal hygiene through preventive actions such as thorough hand washing with water and soap, staying home if feeling unwell and avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory problem.
We will closely monitor the development of the outbreak, maintain close communication with the local health and hygiene authorities and will take appropriate measures in accordance with the situation.
All facilities are in full operations.
We accept bookings for all guests including foreigners on condition that guests arriving from other countries have completed the mandatory quarantine that is imposed by the Shanghai local authority.

During this time of uncertainty and anxiety, The Sukhothai Shanghai understand the need to implement flexibility in our travel policy.
Our hotel will offer a full refund on cancellations for existing bookings for stays before 30 March 2020. This waiver of cancellation does not apply for new bookings that are made after 15 March 2020.

For bookings beyond 30 March 2020, we would like to recommend our Best Available Rate that allows you to change or cancel the reservations one day (local Shanghai time) prior to the your arrival.
